When extending a 40" gobo arm horizontally, payload capacity decreases to 10.0 lbs (4.5 kg) due to rotational torque (Ο = r Γ F β€ 45 NΒ·m / 33.2 ft-lbs) on the 2.5" grip head knuckle.

CLOCKWISE GRAVITY LOCKAlways orient extension arms and modifiers so load gravity acts clockwise relative to the T-handle knob. Downward weight actively self-tightens the knuckle brake pads; mounting in reverse allows gravity to loosen the T-handle and causes catastrophic fixture slippage.
